Directors over the years have always tried to reinvent the opera by producing a unique production. The production you saw at Opera Philadelphia is a prime example of this. Co-directors Barry Kosky and Suzanne Andrade as well as animator Paul Barritt worked to tell the story of The Magic Flute in a very new way.
