weeks away! The Opera Company artists
have been hard at work in rehearsals with
the director and conductor, in costume
fittings, and working with our music coaches
to make sure that Turandot will be an

Youtube Clip of the Week

Last week we looked at Calaf's famous aria "Nessun dorma." This week's clip of the week features the dramatic riddle scene in which Turandot challenges Calaf, the Unknown Prince, to answer her three enigmas! If he doesn't answer the three questions, his life will be in grave danger. How will he do?

This clip features Welsh soprano Dame Gwyneth Jones as Turandot and Italian tenor Franco Bonisolli as Calaf. This clip may take a little while to load onto your computer. If it stops in the middle of playing, hit the pause button and wait a bit so the video has time to load.




Web Site of the Week

The riddle, all important to the plot of Turandot, is the unofficial theme of the week. Going along with the theme, visit this online riddle website, A Z Kidznet. Give the riddles a try and if can answer them, Create a riddle of your own and submit it to A Z Kidznet. Your riddle just might make its way onto the website!

Student from around the Delaware Valley are preparing for Turandot. We asked students in the Sounds of Learning program who have been to China to submit essays with their thoughts on the country. Visit the Turandot SoL page to read what China is like from a young person's point of view.

It's not too late to sign up to join us for A Taste of Opera, the Company's FREE recital on Turandot. It's at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts at 128 N. I thought was opera was very good i like the setting and how in each other act the dragon came to "life". i thought that the cast was very good. i think Turandot is my favorite opera i have seen so far. i really enjoyed it and would want to see it again! i would like the thank the opera for the wonderful/awesome tickets.
